Yoshio Tsuchiya played the lead scientist Doctor Otani in charge of Monsterland in Toho's Destroy All Monsters (怪獣総進撃) in 1968.

A kaiju and sci-fi film regular, Mr. Tsuchiya can also be seen in Godzilla Raids Again (1955), The Mysterians (1957) where he played the leader, Battle in Outer Space (1959), The Human Vapor (1960), Matango (1963), Frankenstein Conquers the World (1965), Invasion of Astro-Monster also known as Monster Zero (1965), Son of Godzilla (1967), Space Amoeba (1970) and later in Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991).

Mr. Tsuchiya also made appearances in Ultra Q (1966), Ultraman (1966) and Ultraseven (1967).

He was also an Akira Kurosawa regular appearing in Seven Samurai (1954), I Live in Fear (1955), Throne of Blood (1957), Yojimbo (1961), Sanjuro (1962), High and Low (1963), and Red Beard (1965).

This color photograph, from Destroy All Monsters, features Yoshio Tsuchiya as Dr. Otani who, under remote control of the Kilaaks, ignores questions from Captain Katsuo Yamabe and focuses on his new instructions to leap out the window. Unlike our other autographs from Mr. Tsuchiya, this photo doesn't have the Planet X costume covering his face and serves as a good addition to your collection in order to celebrate all of the films he's appeared in (listed above).

I am told that Yoshio Tsuchiya currently has no plans to accept any invitations from U.S. conventions. It was more expensive for us to have these photos signed; hence the higher price.

The photos of the autograph and of the signing session above show only 1 of 5 photos of this type we had signed and may not match precisely what you'll receive. Each autograph differs slightly in appearance.
