Akira Kubo was the male lead in one of the most popular Godzilla films ever made: Toho's Destroy All Monsters (怪獣総進撃) in 1968. He portrayed Katsuo Yamabe, Captain of the Moonlight SY-3 Rocket.

No stranger to Kaiju films, Mr. Kubo can be seen in Gorath (1962), Matango (1963), Gozilla movie Invasion of Astro-Monster (1965), Son of Godzilla (1967), Space Amoeba (1970) and later in Gamera: Guardian of the Universe (1995). He also appeared in Akira Kurosawa's Throne of Blood (1957).

Yasuhiko Saijo 西条康彦 is best known for playing Ippei Togawa in Ultra Q. He played SY-3 crew member, Suzuki, in Destroy All Monsters (1968). He also appeared in Gorath (1962), War of the Gargantuas (1966) and Son of Godzilla (1967).

This black and white photograph, from Destroy All Monsters, features the crew of SY-3 in the cockpit. Mr. Saijo can be seen on the far left with Mr. Kubo appearing next "at the wheel". Likewise, Mr. Saijo's autograph is on the left, and Mr. Kubo's is on the right.

I am told that both of these stars currently have no plans to attend U.S. conventions. This double-signed photo is very rare and exclusive to Flossie's.

NOTE:
The photos of the autograph and of the signing sessions above show only 1 of 5 photos of this type we had signed and may not match precisely what you'll receive. Each autograph differs slightly in appearance.
