Susumu Kurobe is, of course, best known for his lead role in the original Ultraman television series, (1966-1967), as Science Patrol member Shin Hiyata and first man able to transform himself into the giant hero.

He appeared in Ultra Q and many other later Ultraman series. He also had minor roles in King Kong Escapes (1967), Son of Godzilla (1967), Destroy All Monsters (1968), Latitude Zero (1969), Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989), Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991), Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992), Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993), Godzilla vs. Megaguirus (2000) and The Monster X Strikes Back (2008).

This color photograph, from Ultraman (1966) shows Hiyata standing in Science Patrol Headquarters with his gun at the ready. Why his gun is drawn, I don't know. Publicity Shot, maybe?

The photos of the autograph and of the signing session above show only 1 of 5 photos of this type we had signed and may not match precisely what you'll receive. Each autograph differs slightly in appearance.
